As the quote goes, “Only True Love Survives”, we understand that those who fail to get through the ups and downs of a relationship definitely lack something somewhere. Now the most difficult part is to find out where the things are going wrong before it’s too late. Although it is the responsibility of BOTH the partners to cherish their relationship throughout their life, often there comes a point when you should act wisely and realize that there isn’t any point in stretching your relationship any further. So, below are a few alarming signs which ask you to step out of your failed relationship ASAP!
1. When you both start hiding things from each other
Being honest with each other is the most important criteria for a strong relationship. But when you realize that your partner has started lying and is failing to confront the truth very often, it’s time to reconsider your relationship.
2. When you can’t see your partner’s last seen anymore
We all have a private life. True! But, if you are in a healthy relationship, you would never mind sharing your private space with your better half. Customizing your privacy settings on social sites and apps so as to hide your last seen, updates etc from your partner is also a sign of failed relationship.
3. When the conversation gets shorter day by day
Communication gaps have always been the biggest murderers of great relationships so far. If you start realizing that you don’t share much about your personal life with your partner anymore or you have very less idea of what is going on in your partner’s life, then it's the time to be alert before it’s too late.
4. When you don’t have time for each other
Spending your spare time on something that has nothing to do with your relationship is a symptom that you have lost your interest in your relationship. If any one of the partners fails to invest time with the other, the relationship is very near to its end.
5. When your partner doesn’t respect you
A relationship where there is no respect for each other can never last long. Respect plays a very important bond between two people as it proves that your partner understands your values and accepts you the way you are. If not, you just need to stop disrespecting yourself and walk out of the relationship.
6. When the word “trust” loses its meaning
We all are well aware that trust is the base of a true relationship. Once you lose your trust with your partner, it’s very difficult to build it back again. Any misunderstanding which shakes the roots of trust between two people is the biggest reason to walk out. Love without trust is like a car with no fuel!
A relationship is not an exam. So why cheat? You should never ever accept a partner who isn’t loyal or cheats on you. However, you may also put the past behind, forgive your partner and move on happily (though it’s not that easy) but, if you have understood that your partner is a habitual cheater and doesn’t care for your feelings, it’s time for the breakup!
If your relationship has come to a point where you are losing your individuality as an independent person you are simply going wrong. You should never stop loving yourself for anyone in this world. If you feel like a useless peasant in your relationship, it’s time to move on in life ahead.
There is no point in a relationship if happiness is missing! A relationship must always be balanced and NOT always in the favor of your partner. If any one of you is happy but the other is not, it’s not working. It is always important to give priority to your inner happiness when you are in a relationship.
Getting more and more irritable, frustrated, hurt or angry with your partner every time is a sign that your relationship is on the verge of its end. If you keep complaining about things over and over again and still do not find any improvement, it’s always better to walk out and find someone deserving.
Often, with time people naturally start changing their interests and goals of life and eventually drift away. Although there is nothing wrong with taking a different path in life it is equally important to make your partner aware of it. Whether mutual or one-sided it is always advisable to have a talk with your partner about it instead of dragging the relationship any further.
